Located on the west side of the island in the North Kona District overlooking
the Royal Coast, Kailua-Kona is one of the most pristine communities on the
island with many services available.
It is a great golfing community with a very dry climate, clean air
and beautiful views of turquoise and blue ocean. There are shopping centers, banks, gas stations, grocery
stores, restaurants, airport, and much more. Kailua-Kona is the business center for the west side of
the island and the primary entry point for tourists.

The air quality in Kailua-Kona is voggy (volcano fog) most of the
year. Some people may not notice
the vog unless it is particularly think. This area is known as a tourist spot close to some of the
best white sand beaches on the island including A-bay
Beach (‘Anaeho’omalu Beach) at the Hilton
Kailua-Kona Village, the Disneyland of the Pacific. Kailua-Kona is a town with vibrant
color.

The real estate market in Kailua-Kona is expensive, in fact a recent
journal ranked Kailua-Kona seventh on the list of most expensive properties
in the U.S. The cost of living
is less affordable than most areas on the island. The area is in Lava Hazard Zone 4, which is relatively
free of any hazard from the volcanoes.

The area is very popular because of the majestic setting and its proximity
to so many good beaches, world class, big game sport fishing, and golf
courses. The availability of
property in this area is good.
There are plenty of condo developments and new subdivisions with
luxury properties ready to buy.
